MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) Testing
This year, all BAC students will complete 3 rounds of MAP testing. The sessions will occur in the fall, winter, and spring and assess students in Reading and Math. The primary goal for this instrument is to help guide instruction and monitor student growth over time. This will be essential for our class as most students are already scoring in the upper-percentiles of standardized assessments. MAP scores do not "cap-out" and the tests are adaptive, meaning students are given more challenging problems the better they do. This allows me to see at what level is each child's instructional level, be it fifth grade or ninth grade. The form below gives more information on how to interpret the results from the MAP test.
